In an area of around 2.000 m² xpedeo describes the fascinating flora and fauna of the local countryside in the “Wilderness Dreams” exhibition. xpedeo also provides information via a specially designed user interface for visitors with impaired sight, or in sign language for those with impaired hearing.

The second major permanent exhibition at the Vogelsang IP Forum, where we have already installed a media guide system for the permanent exhibition on the Nazi Ordensburg Vogelsang, is entitled Wildnis(t)räume.

A special focus of the exhibition concept is on barrier-free access, which includes the entire exhibition area of 2000m². The 70 xpedeo devices have a version specially developed by us for visually impaired people.

In co-operation with those affected, we have developed a user interface that works intuitively after a brief, included introduction, but also provides help that can be called up at any time. For deaf visitors there is a sign language guide.

Set in a dramatic landscape of woods interspersed with water, the Eifel National Park allows to experience the fascinating natural diversity of a wilderness at first hand. For in this large protection area some 65 kilometres southwest of Cologne, nature has been left once more to its own eternal cycle of growth and decay. Over an area of 110 square kilometres (17,000 football pitches), the motto is "Let nature be nature", as it is in National Parks all over the world. Wildcats and black storks live in the National Park, and researchers have shown that around 1,600 other endangered species of animals and plants are also at home there.
