For the Christian Schad Museum in Aschaffenburg, we are developing a Schadomat, an interactive mediation station that explains the technique of Schadography in different ways.

Schadography was developed by the artist shortly after the end of the First World War: Objects are exposed on light-sensitive paper without the use of a camera and thus "imaged".

The contents of the terminal are designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. Information on the development and creation of Schadographs is presented in a multimedia format. An interactive timeline shows the development of photography from the first photograms to today's mobile phone photos. Or you can watch a ZDF production on the late works of Christian Schad. If you are feeling very creative, you can also playfully create your own digital Schadography and much more.

Schadomat - Timeline
A timeline with highlighted numbers / dates that displays the respective camera type as an image with explanatory text when touched.
Schadomat - In-depth information
The "Schadography No. 11" is considered a pioneering achievement, so of course it should not be missed.
Schadomat - Game
The damage graphs are playfully recreated from the existing objects.
